OIL PAINTING ART GALLERY

This is the first painting I have ever done. It was a place on private land that a friend took me to outside of Wimberly Texas. This is the first of 3 that got me started. All of them started from Photographs I took that day with my friend and our kids playing at the Blanco River.

This is my second Sunset I ever attempted. I decided to do this as a gallery wrapped piece because I felt like it didn't need any borders. It was from a series of photos I took experimenting with new cameras and colors. It was very enjoyable to paint.

This oil on canvas recently won two awards at the 2014 Artoberfest.

This is a typical Texas sunset after the clearing of some afternoon storms. This one also felt as if the Lord was sharing something special with me.

This is the second painting I ever did and won 2 major local prizes. It won 1st place in oil at the River Art Group Annual contest. Then it later won the San Antonio Art League and Museum's Julian Onderdonk prize which is the equivalent to Best in Show.

This is a small Gallery wrapped piece that shows a field of Texas wildflowers in the spring and a beautiful butterfly enjoying them.

This is my third painting and took a considerable amount of time to complete. It is the 3rd in the series and is depicting my friend's sons playing in the Blanco river. This was truly a magical day and I felt like God wanted me to share it with the world.

This piece is a compilation of several photos I took one day. While I was photographing a gorgeous heron flew into the picture and posed for me. I had to paint him, it also felt very spiritual.

This is the first sunset I ever attempted. This was from a 2 hour photographing session looking down over San Antonio as the summer storms were battling over Downtown. It was incredible to watch and many photographers were there on the hilltop that day, several photos made it on the evening news and the weather channel that day. It was spectacular I just had to paint it.
